Conférence Mondiale des Océans 2010

The 5th Global Oceans Conference "Ensuring Survival, Preserving Life, Improving Governance; Oceans, Climate, Biodiversity: from Copenhagen 2009 to Nagoya 2010"  was organized by the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands on May 3-7, 2010 at UNESCO, Paris, FRANCE.

The World Ocean Network proposed three sessions at the Policy, Science and Technical Symposium (May 3-4), one being related to Oceans and Climate Change in the frame of the first part of the Symposium: 
ENSURING SURVIVAL: Oceans, Climate and Security - Major Issues in Mitigation, Adaptation, and Financing in the Post-Copenhagen Climate Regime.

The title of the session was “Stormy weather on our planet – new citizen actions after COP15
