The World Ocean Network has accredited Mark Cheng, from Singapore, to the COP16.

Mark participated both in the East Asian Seas Youth Forum in 2009 and in WON 4th International Meeting in 2010. He is a council member of IUCN-CEC, Executive Director of Avelife Foundation and Chairman of GreenPrints. He was recently recognized as 2010 Outstanding NEA Youth Environment Envoy and is currently a finalist for the 2010 Young Outstanding Singaporean Award.

In Cancún, Mark follows various side-events apart from the main event, in order to present the COP16 with a greater emphasize on Oceans.

He has a special sensitivity to youth’s actions and the role young people might play in the international process.
